Tango Matsushima
It was named because the appearance of the islands stretching eastward from Konoshiro in Tango resembles Matsushima, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan.
The scenery of the rias-style coast continues to Kyogamisaki, and the beautiful silhouette of the sunrise and sunset is impressive.
There is an observatory near the Inugasaki Tunnel on Route 178. There is a beach nearby, and it is crowded with many beachgoers in the summer.
It is part of the Tango Peninsula coastal district of Tango Amanohashidate Oeyama Quasi-National Park.
