Anamonju
"Anamonju" is a sea cave with a height of about 10m. Sea caves are caves created by wave erosion, and are found mainly along the coast of the Tango Peninsula.
The Manpuku-ji Buddhist temple outside the precincts of Manpuku-ji Temple, which stands on the hill directly above, is called Seiryozan Kuhon-ji Temple, and the Monju Bodhisattva that was once enshrined in the depths of the cave is the principal image of worship.
Because it was located in a cave, it is called "Anamonju" or "Monju-san" affectionately.
